Transaero

Transaero was a Russian airline founded in 1990 and with its head office in Saint Petersburg. Transaero Airlines filed for bankruptcy in October 2015 and ceased all operations on 15 December 2015. The airline operated to a total of 103 destinations around the world. These destinations include Moscow,Frankfurt, Ho Chi Minh, Istanbul, Johannesburg, Hong Kong, Kiev, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Khabarovsk, Malta, Miami, Odessa, Paphos, Prague, Punta Cana, Rhodes, Phuket, Riga, Shanghai, Samara, Taipei and many others.

 Transaero had codeshare agreements with Aer Lingus, Aigle Azur, airBaltic, Austrian Airlines, Belavia, China Airlines, easyJet, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Atlantic. Transaero had two main hub airports: Moscow-Domodedovo and Saint-Petersburg Airports.

Prior to Transaero's Airlines closure, it had a wide selection of fleet of Boeing and Tupolev aircraft. Transaero Airlines had 4 types of classes: Tourist Economy Class, Premium Economy Class, Premium Economy Class, Business/Premium Class and Imperial Class. In September 2015, Aeroflot had agreed to acquire 75% of Transaero Airlines' debt for a nominal amount, however, in October 2015 Aeroflot decided to withdraw this offer.
