You may dream of just lying on a beach while on vacation but this is a great opportunity to make some memories with your kids to last a lifetime. A trip to a zoo … or two… may just be the answer you’re looking for.
The Hope Zoo is located in Hope Botanical Gardens, a draw for family days out in the heart of Kingston. Opened in 1961, it fell into disrepair and was revived by a preservation society. Today, Hope Zoo not only offers state of the art Zoo facilities, but also guided tours customized to the ages of the children, various experiences like feeding budgies and a petting zoo, along with themed events from family musical nights to seasonal events for Easter, Halloween and Christmas. All of which offers a rich learning interactive experience for the whole family.
The Jamaica Zoo was a private enterprise that the owner chose to share with children across Jamaica. At least 25 different animals live at the Jamaica Zoo and a family fun day awaits you with guided tours, donkey rides, a petting zoo and learning about plants and the animals you’re visiting. A picnic is a great way to finish off the day with the family as refreshments and snacks are on sale. Or enjoy the restaurant offering a delicious meal.
