Round Hill Hotel and Villas is situated on a lush 110-acre peninsula just west of Montego Bay, Jamaica. Boasting a guest list of world leaders, cultural icons and Hollywood A-listers, this classic resort continues to attract the jet-set from around the world, who enjoy timeless glamour and understated luxury along with pristine natural beaches and the inimitable Caribbean waters. Accommodations include 36 Ralph Lauren-designed oceanfront guest rooms, 90 luxurious villa rooms and suites or a selection of 27 private 2 - 6 bedroom Villas – most with private pools. Other highlights include open-air terrace dining and The Grill at Round Hill, award-winning family programs, an infinity pool, tennis courts, and an Elemis spa located in a beautifully-restored 18th century plantation house.
We are continuing to expand the hotel’s culinary program and has unveiled a new farm-to-table menu and a See, Touch and Taste Program. The ever expanding on property organic vegetable garden is producing more bounty than ever supporting the menus of Chef Martin Maginley.
The farm-to-table menu is available for guests to experience at The Grill restaurant every Thursday and Sunday night. Round Hill is taking the farm-to-table dinner to the next level, using only the freshest local ingredients. “Everything on the farm-to-table menu comes directly from the on-property garden or farmers in the community, including all aspects of the meal -- from the meat to herbs and dressings for salads” said Maginley. “Small changes such as retiring balsamic vinaigrettes from the menu and replacing them with savory, herb vinaigrettes make a big difference. Overall we are providing lighter meals but with more flavours from the garden.” Highlights from the farm-to-table menu include: Chigwell Farms jerked chicken, guava glazed slow roasted rosemary pork loin from farmer Theodore Williams, steamed Pedro Banks snapper in parchment paper and homemade scotch bonnet ice cream.
The Grill at Round Hill is situated just above the main bar and terrace of Round Hill, offering beautiful ocean views and cool breezes. The décor is in keeping with the classic Round Hill aesthetic of relaxed luxury. With consulting direction from longtime resident Ralph Lauren, the whitewashed, simple décor is accented with local Jamaican art, adding a touch of the local and historic to the new restaurant space. The Grill features the only indoor pimento wood-fired grill in Jamaica. The wood imparts a touch of smoky richness and is used in a mixture of torched wood for earthy flavour and sweet wood to round out the finish. The kitchen is open, allowing guests a glimpse of the live-action grill.
Inspired by Executive Chef Martin Maginley’s philosophy of ‘Lean, Clean, Caribbean Cuisine’, Round Hill delights in offering the freshest, most authentic Jamaican ingredients and the best flavours of the island. As part of our commitment to maintaining a sustainable environment and showcasing the best local produce, our on-site organic garden provides the kitchen daily with fresh herbs and vegetables which are infused and incorporated into our culinary offerings. The garden is located at the top of the bluff with sweeping views of both Round Hill Bay and Montego Bay as well as an ever-present cool, Caribbean breeze. In addition to our on-site garden, we are also proud supporters of the One Love Learning Foundation’s School Yard Garden Project where students at two nearby primary schools cultivate crops such as kale and arugula. We in turn purchase this produce from the students and incorporate them into our daily dishes for your enjoyment.
